As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet associates and drivers, help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and track visitors and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing traffic flow to designated areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; document unusual activity and communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when needed and completing detailed incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yards, trailer areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
