Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Staff the front desk to help manage access by greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification as required, issuing visitor passes, and maintaining visitor and delivery logs.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other building systems from the front desk, reporting irregular activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when needed and assisting with orderly communication and documentation.
  • Complete shift reports and incident reports, document key activities, and support property rules and resident quality of life by addressing concerns and/or escalating issues through the proper channels.
