As an unarmed patrol officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and requests with clear communication and strong customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, labs, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, contractors, and visitors, including managing visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes when appropriate and contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents in written reports and log entries, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnovers to support continuity of security-related operations.
