As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of utility facilities, grounds, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or unsecured access points that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with location requirements.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site operations and/or local responders as directed, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate post updates during shift transitions, and maintain required security-related records.
