As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support staff and visitors with clear communication, and respond to concerns with calm professionalism. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Concealed Carry Weapons Permit is required.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disorderly conduct, and/or suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and verify credentials, deliveries, and/or vendor access in accordance with post orders.
  • Complete security-related reports and documentation, communicate with Allied Universal supervision and site leadership, and follow required armed post protocols for equipment handling and retention.
