Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential care location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, residents, and visitors with strong communication and customer service, document observations, and respond to calls for assistance. Requirements
- Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of residential common areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe arriving and departing individuals, verifying authorization as required by post orders and reporting concerns to site management and/or responding personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting, requesting assistance, and documenting actions taken per site protocols.
- Complete routine security-related reports and logs, communicate noteworthy events during shift transitions, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and/or onsite contacts as needed.
