As an Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will assist guests and store teams with clear communication and service-focused support while reporting concerns and documenting activity. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM Thur 01:30 PM - 09:30 PM

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• State, County, or City Issued Security License - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, corridors, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and public areas, observe for suspicious behavior, and communicate concerns to mall management and/or local responders as directed by post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial assistance, crowd direction, and/or scene documentation.
• Complete shift activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate key updates to on-site leadership during shift transitions.
