As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and professionalism. Requirements

  • Be willing to work in a hospital setting where vaccines are present.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital setting that includes a morgue.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting appropriate clinical staff and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including corridors, waiting areas, parking lots, and building perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, directing foot traffic, and assisting with visitor management and after-hours entry procedures.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate security-related observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
