You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide standout customer service through clear communication and quick reporting. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, work areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, with working conditions that may vary by site.
- Monitor access points and support entry and exit processes by observing for unusual activity, verifying credentials when directed, and documenting security-related concerns.
- Complete timely reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and observations, and escalate maintenance hazards, access issues, and/or operational disruptions through the proper channels.
