Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors with professional customer service, document observations, and communicate clearly with site teams and first responders when needed. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout hospital and/or clinic areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, documenting notable activity.
  • Monitor for unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, loitering, or restricted-area access attempts, and take appropriate actions to help to deter policy violations.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident logs, and shift activity documentation, and assist with directions, escorts, and/or de-escalation support when requested.
