As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you deliver service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification and/or authorizations, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of process areas, warehouses, tank farm areas, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations and report findings.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, radios, and other communication systems; document observations and escalate concerns per post orders and chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities, initiating notifications, and assisting with site lockdowns and/or evacuations when directed.
  • Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and log entries; preserve relevant details and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and on-site contacts as needed.
