As a Security Officer, you will staff entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and vehicle flow, and document activity while staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer Service Experience is preferred.
State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor badges, and directing authorized visitors, contractors, and deliveries to the proper locations.
Screen packages, tools, and materials entering and leaving the site in accordance with site-specific policies, and document approvals and exceptions as required.
Operate access control systems such as gates, badge readers, key control, and visitor management logs, and report equipment issues through the approved process.
Coordinate with client representatives and site personnel to confirm access permissions, escort requirements, and restricted-area rules.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access violations, suspicious activity, and/or medical emergencies, and notify appropriate contacts per post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter as required by the post assignment. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Complete detailed reports and daily activity logs, including incident reports, access records, patrol observations, and follow-up actions, using required reporting tools.
Monitor cameras and/or alarm panels when assigned, and communicate observations and requests for assistance via radio, phone, and/or other approved methods.
Support compliance with site rules such as restricted items, parking controls, and traffic flow by providing clear directions and documenting noncompliance for follow-up.
