Job Description As a Security Officer - TWIC Gate Driver in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage access control at entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor, employee, and vehicle check-in. You will remain highly visible, communicate clearly, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine rounds and accurate reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Bring integrity and teamwork to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors at a logistics and distribution location by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying identification, screening visitors, issuing credentials, and managing visitor logs while supporting a professional check-in experience.
  • Monitor CCTV and access control alarms, document security-related activity, and escalate irregular conditions according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response notifications when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of docks, yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
