As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a major financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe activity, document concerns, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry in lobby, office, and restricted back-of-house areas.
  • Respond to alarms, disputes, suspicious activity, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior spaces and the exterior perimeter, including parking areas, entrances, and ATM-adjacent areas as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Complete security-related reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate observations, hazards, and policy issues to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
