As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and support screening procedures that help maintain smooth operations. You will stay highly visible, communicate clearly, document security-related activity, and respond to questions with a customer service mindset. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at entry points by verifying identification, managing sign-in and/or badge processes, and controlling access in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct screening of personal items, bags, and/or packages as required by site policy, and communicate expectations clearly and professionally to maintain an orderly flow.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting observations promptly to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking docks, trailer areas, and access points for unusual activity or policy concerns.
