About The Position

As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support security-related operations by greeting employees and visitors, verifying access, and conducting screening and inspection steps at entry points. You will complete clear reports using site technology, communicate issues to leadership, and help maintain smooth traffic flow. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site employees, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen personnel and belongings at entry points using authorized screening methods and equipment, following posted instructions and escalation protocols.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing and/or collecting visitor passes, and directing individuals to the proper check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying supervision and/or onsite contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, check doors and gates, and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
