As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support associates and shoppers with friendly customer service. You will conduct routine rounds, communicate clearly, and document observations while working with store teams. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances and exits, receiving areas, and perimeter walkways; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Monitor for unusual activity and potential policy violations, help to deter loss-related activity, and communicate observations to store management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with local emergency services when needed.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity documentation, and participate in required briefings, post orders reviews, and training.
