As a Screener at a leading education location, you will greet students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting access control and security-related screening at key entry points. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols when needed, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and communicate clearly with campus partners. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and access control requirements at an educational location.
  • Screen and verify identification, appointments, and delivery credentials, and/or direct visitors to the appropriate campus department or destination while following established entry procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate status updates to supervisors and campus partners as required.
  • Monitor entry points, queues, and surrounding areas for unusual activity and conditions that could help to deter unauthorized access, and report concerns according to site protocols.
  • Complete required documentation such as logs, incident reports, and screening records, and use radios, phones, and/or computers to support daily operations.
