As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and uphold a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires driving as part of your daily duties. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures and adhering to site-specific policies at the government location.
Assist in the management of access control by screening individuals entering the premises, verifying identification, and monitoring for prohibited items.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Maintain detailed records of screening activities and report any suspicious behaviors or items to the appropriate authorities.
Support emergency response activities as directed, including coordinating with law enforcement and/or first responders when necessary.
Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or prohibited activities through professional presence and thorough screening processes.
Communicate clearly and courteously with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
