Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors and deliveries, and support access control and badging. You will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, while providing clear communication and customer service to employees, drivers, and guests. Requirements

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, contractors, and visitors entering and/or exiting the distribution location using approved screening methods, including package and property checks as directed by site policy.
  • Control access at screening points by confirming required identification, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating entry denials and/or exceptions through the proper chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations per site instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location and operational needs.
