Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with screening individuals entering the logistics and distribution location to help to deter prohibited items from entering the premises.
Provide customer service by addressing questions and/or concerns from visitors, employees, and delivery personnel in a professional manner.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies relevant to a logistics and distribution environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Monitor and document all screening activities, maintaining accurate records as required by the site.
Support emergency response activities as directed, assisting with evacuations and/or other procedures as needed.
