As an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, respond to concerns, and document activities using site tools. Requirements

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting medical staff and/or public responders as needed.
• Control access through designated entrances, assist with visitor check-in directions and/or badge procedures, and support patient privacy by redirecting unauthorized individuals away from restricted areas.
• Document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activity in detailed reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
