As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel and/or responders, and deliver customer service that leaves a positive impression. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, equipment areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit for employees, vendors, and deliveries, verifying authorization and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and/or requests for assistance, and notify the appropriate contacts.
• Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift turnover notes, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
