As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms, and use site technology such as computers and/or tablets while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including warehouse areas, dock doors, truck yards, and perimeter fencing, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, drivers, and contractors; manage visitor and/or vehicle logs and direct traffic flow as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical events, and/or property damage, and notify site leadership and emergency services as required.
• Complete routine security-related checks and documentation such as trailer and seal observations, gate status checks, and camera monitoring, and report maintenance issues or irregularities per site procedures.
