As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrol rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company-approved vehicle to move between areas and respond to calls for service. You will deliver calm customer service, clear communication, and teamwork with integrity in a caring, agile culture.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, waiting areas, and perimeter areas, including parking lots and/or ambulance bays, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, directing foot traffic, and/or coordinating with onsite clinical teams and local first responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor management, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations per site-specific guidelines.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol observations, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts.
