As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine foot patrols, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support shoppers and store teams with strong customer service, clear communication, and prompt reporting. Requirements

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance or operational concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, potential shoplifting behaviors, and policy violations, and report observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as required by post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and alarms, and document actions taken in required reports.
• Control access to restricted areas, assist with crowd and line management during peak shopping periods, and support closing and opening routines such as door checks and perimeter walks.
