As an unarmed driving patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. You will support a caring, people-first culture while staying agile, reliable, and innovative, delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity on every shift.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, receiving areas, and exterior perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor entrances and exits, observe customer and associate activity, and report suspicious behavior to site leadership to help to deter theft and/or disorderly conduct.
• Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff notes, and assist with access control for employees, vendors, and deliveries.
