As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and tenants with clear, courteous communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, and innovation, delivering through teamwork and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors in a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, then document observations and notify site management and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested.
Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and service calls, and communicate updates to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
