As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist shoppers and tenants with clear, courteous communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will represent Allied Universal with agility, reliability, and innovation, delivering through teamwork and integrity in a people-first culture.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors in a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, then document observations and notify site management and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested.
- Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and service calls, and communicate updates to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
