As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor screening. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and care. Bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile mindset to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, and perimeter fencing to help identify unusual activity, unsecured doors or gates, and process-area concerns.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing deliveries and contractors in accordance with site rules.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, maintain patrol logs, and communicate security-related information to supervision and site leadership.
