You will manage access, monitor cameras and alarms, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors to help reduce security-related issues. Requirements

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution location.
  • Control access to the facility by greeting and logging visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials as required, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and communications systems from the front desk; document observations and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations, medical response coordination, and incident reporting per post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and front desk logs, track keys and other controlled items, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site representatives regarding security-related concerns and/or policy questions.
