As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will coordinate security-related responses, monitor activity, manage radio and phone communications, and support patrol teams with clear directions and timely updates. You will help to deter incidents through strong visibility, accurate reporting, and customer-focused service, while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to Allied Universal clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the manufacturing and industrial location, production areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks and the perimeter as assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Operate as a dispatch point for security-related calls for service, prioritizing requests and routing officers to posts and incident locations based on site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV and access control systems, communicate observations to responding personnel and report system issues per site policy.
  • Maintain clear radio and phone communications, provide status updates, and coordinate responses with on-site leadership and emergency services when appropriate.
  • Complete daily activity reports, incident reports and dispatch logs with accurate times, actions taken and notifications made.
  • Support access control by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entries, issuing temporary badges per policy and directing individuals to designated areas.
  • Perform perimeter checks and traffic control around shipping and receiving areas as needed to help to deter unauthorized access and/or congestion.
  • Assist with emergency response activities such as evacuations, shelter-in-place actions and medical response notifications, following post orders and client procedures.
  • Interact with employees, contractors and visitors in a professional manner, provide directions and help resolve concerns while maintaining site rules.
  • Observe for hazards, suspicious activity and policy violations, report findings to site contacts and take action within scope of post orders.
