As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will observe and report unusual activity, support access control and vehicle flow, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security experience.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of yards, docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance issues.
- Monitor access points and vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic flows as assigned, assisting with directions, check-in processes, and reporting concerns per site procedures.
- Document observations, patrol activities, and incidents in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant information during shift changes.
