As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and assist tenants, guests, and vendors with professional customer service. You will observe and document unusual activity, communicate clearly with your team, and support a caring, people-first environment through integrity, teamwork, and reliable, agile service.

Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or operational issues.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials when required, and directing visitors to proper destinations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Perform routine checks of doors, gates, lighting, and life system panels as assigned, and communicate irregularities to appropriate personnel for follow-up.
