As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor guidance. You will document security-related observations, communicate clearly with site personnel, and respond to incidents with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • Possess 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, controlling access to affected areas as directed, and completing detailed reports.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic, verifying credentials, following site entry requirements, and directing visitors and contractors according to posted rules and client instructions.
  • Operate security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, radios, and access control platforms as assigned, documenting observations and communicating updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
