As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors with professionalism, report concerns, and communicate clearly with site leadership and first responders as needed. Requirements

• MUST HAVE VALID AND CURRENT CA. GUARD CARD & TRAINING CERTIFICATES!
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government services location by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear directions and coordinating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Monitor entry points for authorized access, observe for prohibited items and/or behaviors, and assist with orderly lines and lobby flow during busy periods.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports and logs, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
