As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government human services location, you will conduct routine patrols of buildings and surrounding areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with professional customer service. You will observe and report activity, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and grounded in integrity.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government human services location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter policy violations, identify unusual activity, and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor entrances and controlled areas, verify authorization when required, direct foot traffic, and assist with visitor processing per site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with site leadership and/or local emergency services when needed.
- Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate observations to the next shift, and support security-related screening and access procedures consistent with post orders.
