You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm communication and strong customer service. Working with a caring team that values integrity, agility, reliability, and innovation, you will document activity, assist staff and visitors, and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and program participants at a government human services location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, public service areas, parking areas, and building perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, vandalism, and other security-related concerns.
Control access by monitoring entrances and exits, checking identification and/or visitor authorization as directed, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs according to post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
Complete daily activity reports and incident reports, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision, and assist with security-related customer requests as assigned.
