As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering helpful customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific, security-related procedures and policies at a government location and when appropriate, supporting emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to supervisors and/or public agency contacts as required.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and direct employees, visitors, and vendors to appropriate areas.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate updates during shift turnover to support continuity of operations.
