As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks. You will use clear communication and strong customer service to assist staff, patients, and visitors, while documenting observations with a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed foot patrols of interior areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, greet and direct visitors, and verify identification and/or authorization in accordance with location policies while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing initial assistance, requesting additional resources, and communicating updates to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol findings, incidents, and security-related activities, and promptly escalate concerns through the established chain of command.
