As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, use site technology to complete reports, and communicate clearly with personnel and visitors while providing strong customer service. Requirements

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of operational areas, perimeter fencing, gates, and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Monitor alarms, access points, and CCTV systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the established reporting process.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports with clear, accurate details, and support access control by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow when needed.
