As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer in a government transit location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance. You will document observations, support access control needs, and provide professional customer service while coordinating with site contacts and local partners. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transit location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit areas, platforms, public spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe conditions for unusual activity, damage, or hazards, and report issues per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and/or public emergency services as directed.
  • Complete required documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
