Join Allied Universal at a shelter location as an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer, supporting a welcoming environment through routine patrols, visible presence, access control, and clear, respectful communication. You will document and report security-related concerns, assist staff and visitors with directions and questions, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A minimum of 1 year of security experience is required.
• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification when required, managing visitor sign-in and/or sign-out, and directing individuals to the appropriate area or point of contact.
• Complete detailed shift reports, incident reports, and activity logs, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions per site procedures.
