As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to concerns, and deliver customer-focused service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail shopping center environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including handling disturbances, medical calls, and/or suspicious activity, and escalating to Allied Universal supervision and local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, retail corridors, service hallways, loading areas, parking lots, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and assist with traffic and/or crowd flow during peak shopping hours and special events, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Complete reports and required documentation for incidents, patrol activity, and client requests, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal management and site stakeholders.
