You will support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting, while responding to situations as they arise. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, access concerns, and requests for assistance.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor traffic by observing for unusual behavior, assisting with directions and/or information, and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate clearly with hospital personnel and/or public responders as needed, and follow post orders for documentation and incident notification.
