As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will greet staff, visitors, and vendors, complete entry screening and access checks, and support a respectful environment around sensitive areas such as the morgue. You will remain visible, document activity, and communicate concerns to site leadership to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • This post is located in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have a guard card/license preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific access control and screening procedures at designated healthcare facility entry points.
  • Conduct screening activities such as verifying credentials, checking visitor authorization, and observing for prohibited items and/or concerning behavior, then route individuals according to posted instructions and supervisor guidance.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance, documenting observations, and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter routes, to help identify unusual conditions and/or security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate key information during shift transitions, and report maintenance hazards and/or policy violations through the established chain of command.
