As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license and compliance with AU driver policy requirements, allowing you to cover larger areas, respond to calls for service, and support guests and tenants with clear communication and teamwork grounded in integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail and mall environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with customer issues, disorderly behavior, and/or medical situations until appropriate resources arrive.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, entrances, corridors, stairwells, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual behavior, reporting policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or property concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete detailed shift documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and/or daily activity reports, and communicate relevant updates during post transitions.
