As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support operations with clear communication and customer-focused service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity and teamwork to every shift while using reliable, innovative approaches to meet site needs.

Requirements

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, documenting actions taken, and escalating notifications per site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Perform access control duties such as checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, monitoring vehicle entry and exit points, and assisting with delivery and contractor check-in processes per site requirements.
• Complete routine observations and reports, monitor alarms and/or camera systems when assigned, and communicate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding security-related concerns and follow-up actions.
