As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • This hospital site requires vaccines.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing clear directions and timely notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Control access to assigned areas by verifying identification and/or authorization, assisting with visitor management, and helping to maintain orderly flow through entrances and common areas.
  • Complete reports and logs for incidents, patrol activity, and policy concerns, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions to support consistent post operations.
