As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, quick reporting, and professional customer service. Requirements

  • Proof of vaccination is required for this hospital site.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disruptive behavior, and/or unauthorized access concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hospital corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the property perimeter, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership.
  • Control access points by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate clearly with Allied Universal supervision and/or local staff, and assist with scene support during medical events until relieved by appropriate personnel.
